Dudi Sela was knocked out of the Aegon Nottingham Challenge earlier today after Austrian teenager Martin Fischer defeated him in straight sets in the second round, 6-3, 6-1, in a match that took just over an hour. The 29-year-old Israeli was participating in the Nottingham event as part of his training routine ahead of Wimbledon.
Sela is due to participate in the ATP Queens Club tournament in London as well ahead the start of the grand slam on the 23rd of June. Sela is currently ranked 110th in the world and his early exit from the Nottingham tournament may see him drop even lower in the rankings.
